Freedom Acres Ranch is a veteran owned, family operated ranch rooted in service, resilience and purpose. The family is a Marine Corps veteran family, and says ranching is more than a lifestyle: it is their therapy, their purpose and their way of continuing to serve. Instead of defending lives overseas, they say, they are now saving lives at home through access to healthy, farm fresh food from the ranch to the table. Their mission is three words: Farmers Save Lives.
The family's own account begins with Hurricane Harvey, which displaced them and left them without access to food. They vowed never to be without again, and set out to secure land, grow their own produce and raise animals with care. In 2020, as the pandemic exposed cracks in the food supply chain, they founded Freedom Acres Ranch to fight food insecurity, raising more chickens, turkeys, cattle and pigs and delivering fresh meat directly to low income, low access neighborhoods.
The ranch says it operates on sustainable and regenerative practices that support soil health, animal well being and long term ecological balance. Its cattle are grass fed and free range, raised on a diet of lush, green grass, and its products are hand cut, packaged with care and delivered from the ranch to the buyer's table. All of its products are Certified Homegrown by Heroes, and the ranch says buying from it supports Heroes turned Farmers who are saving lives through healthy food access.
Giving back is part of every sale. The ranch donates 5% of every sale to fighting food insecurity in underserved communities, accepts EBT, Afterpay and Klarna, and gives veterans and military a 5% discount. It also runs a youth program, Concrete to Countryside, that brings inner city kids to the ranch to learn about agriculture. The ranch is open to visitors and volunteers Monday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and on Sundays by appointment, and offers ranch retreats and cabin rentals.

Where the ranch is.
Yoder, Colorado. No street address is published for any producer on this site, because none was published by the ranches and none was collected. The marker is the town.
Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, or select a state. With the map focused, the arrow keys pan and the plus and minus keys zoom. Every state outline and every ranch marker is reachable by keyboard, and every ranch on the map is also in the list below, so no producer is reachable only through the map. A member's marker is that ranch's membership badge, drawn larger at the higher levels. A free Registered Producer is a black dot on its own state, and an unclaimed Unregistered Producer record is a gray dot, which opens an invitation to the owner to claim the profile rather than a page.
