Brough Ranch began its story in 1947, in the foothills of the East Humboldt Mountain range. Fresh home from the war and looking for a place to put down roots, Ferris Brough, alongside his parents Owen and Ivy and his brothers Owen and Robert, bought a small ranch on the south end of Clover Valley. In June of 1949 Ferris married Marlene Schultz, and together they raised three children and ran the place for decades as a traditional commercial cow and calf operation.
In 1986 Wilde and Sherry joined Ferris and Marlene to expand the ranch's footprint in Clover Valley, forming the Brough Partnership. The operation pivoted to a stocker operation in 2009, and it was then that the family brought in their first Wagyu cattle, laying the groundwork for the quality the ranch is known for now. Wilde and Sherry raised their six children, David, Jeff, Brian, Emily, Jenna and Jordan, on the ranch.
After college Jordan and Kari Lyn returned to work alongside Wilde and Sherry, and founded Brough Ranch Beef to sell the family's beef direct rather than into the commodity chain. What started with Kari selling at local farmers markets to friends and neighbors has grown into a regional business. The ranch sells Wagyu and Angus by the cut and by the butcher block, custom quarter, half and full beef, and jerky, hot dogs and whipped tallow beyond the butcher block.

Where the ranch is.
Wells, Nevada. No street address is published for any producer on this site, because none was published by the ranches and none was collected. The marker is the town.
Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, or select a state. With the map focused, the arrow keys pan and the plus and minus keys zoom. Every state outline and every ranch marker is reachable by keyboard, and every ranch on the map is also in the list below, so no producer is reachable only through the map. A member's marker is that ranch's membership badge, drawn larger at the higher levels. A free Registered Producer is a black dot on its own state, and an unclaimed Unregistered Producer record is a gray dot, which opens an invitation to the owner to claim the profile rather than a page.
