American Beef Direct Launches
American Beef Direct officially launched in September 2026 with a simple purpose:
Make it easier for consumers to find American beef producers and learn where their beef comes from.
Across the United States, independent ranchers and beef producers are raising cattle, producing beef, and building direct relationships with consumers. But finding those producers isn't always easy.
American Beef Direct was created to help close that gap.
The registry brings American beef producers together in one place, giving consumers an easier way to explore producers by state, learn about their operations, understand how their beef is raised and processed, and connect directly with the producer when they're ready to buy.
A registry, not a marketplace
American Beef Direct is intentionally different from an online beef marketplace.
We don't sell beef.
There is no shopping cart on American Beef Direct.
We don't process beef orders.
We don't take payments from consumers.
We don't take commissions from producers.
And we don't put ourselves between the rancher and the customer.
When you find a producer you'd like to learn more about, you'll be able to visit that producer's own website or online store and deal directly with them.
You choose the rancher.
You ask the questions.
You make the purchase directly from the producer.
That's the relationship we want to encourage.
Built around transparency
A producer profile isn't intended to replace your own research.
It's a starting point.
We want consumers to be able to learn about the operation behind the beef, including where cattle come from, how they're raised, how they're fed, where the beef is processed, what products are available, and how to contact the producer.
Our verification process helps ensure that producers included in the registry meet American Beef Direct's requirements for participation.
But we also believe consumers should ask questions and make their own decisions.
Trust is stronger when you can verify for yourself.
A national registry for American consumers
American Beef Direct is designed to serve consumers across the country.
Whether you're looking for a ranch close to home, a producer who ships directly to your state, or simply want to understand more about where your beef comes from, the registry is designed to make that search easier.
- Explore by state.
- Read producer stories.
- Learn how different operations raise their cattle.
- Compare what producers offer.
- Then connect directly with the rancher.
As the registry grows, so will the information available to consumers.
What you'll find here

We'll keep the focus where it belongs:
on American beef, American producers, and the consumers who want to know more about both.
The story is just beginning
American Beef Direct was built on a simple belief:
You should be able to know where your beef comes from, and who raised it.
There are American cattle producers working every day to raise livestock, care for their land, produce food, and build businesses that can support their families and communities.
We're building the connection between those producers and the consumers who want to find them.
This is the beginning.
